Bermuda’s Charlotte Millington made her Junior Pan American Games debut this past Sunday, competing in the women’s individual time trial. Against a strong field of the continent’s best young riders, Charlotte delivered a determined performance, placing 13th with a time of 40:56.76.
Her race preparation showed the focus and discipline that have become her hallmark. Choosing to skip the opening ceremony in order to conserve energy, Charlotte approached the event with a clear strategy and the mindset of an athlete committed to giving her best on the day.
While she knew a medal might be out of reach in this high-calibre field, the experience gained racing at this level is an important step in her development, and a chance to measure herself against the best in the Americas.
Next up, Charlotte will be back on the start line for the road race this Sunday, and the Bermuda cycling community will be cheering her on every pedal stroke of the way.
The BBA wishes Charlotte the very best for her next race, we’re proud to see her representing Bermuda with such focus and determination.
