Bermuda’s top cyclists rose to the occasion at the 2025 Pan American Road and Mountain Bike Championships, proudly representing the island on one of the region’s biggest cycling stages. Competing among elite athletes from across the Americas, our riders proved that Bermuda continues to develop world-class talent.
Road Cycling – Punta del Este, Uruguay
In Uruguay, the road cycling events saw Charlotte Millington, Nicholas Narraway, and Kaden Hopkins line up against top competition from 21 nations.
Charlotte Millington, making her Pan American Championship debut, competed in both the Junior Women’s Individual Time Trial and the Road Race. Racing solo against well-supported national teams, she delivered two remarkable performances—placing 11th in the time trial and 24th in the road race. After a mid-race crash, she chased back to the peloton and finished with the same time as the winner, showing both grit and composure.
In the elite men’s field, Nic Narraway and Kaden Hopkins continued to demonstrate their international pedigree. Both finished in the top 10 of the individual time trial, despite the flat course favouring more powerful riders. In the 198 km road race, they stayed with the lead group through 4.5 hours of intense racing. Kaden finished 10th and Nic 19th, both credited with the winner’s time—an extraordinary show of strength and tactical precision.
Mountain Biking – Heredia, Costa Rica
In Costa Rica, Robin Horsfield represented Bermuda at the Pan American Mountain Bike Championships, taking on both the Short Track (XCC) and Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) disciplines. He finished 24th in the Elite field and 36th overall in XCC, then delivered a career-best 39th in the XCO, marking a promising start to his 2025 season.
Acknowledging Our Team Behind the Team
These international performances would not be possible without the tireless work of our support staff. A Proud Moment for Bermuda Cycling
From time trials to mountain climbs, Bermuda’s cyclists showed they belong among the best in the Americas. Their performances, along with the dedicated work of their support teams, underscore the continued growth of Bermuda’s cycling programme.
As we celebrate 50 years of the Bermuda Bicycle Association in 2025, these athletes and support staff represent the best of what our cycling community stands for: talent, teamwork, and resilience.
