BBA's road racing season continued on Sunday morning with the BRCC Chase Race at Southside, featuring an exciting handicap-style format that saw riders from Categories C, B, and A set off in staggered starts around the Clearwater, Southside and Pepper Hall circuit.
Despite wet roads and intermittent rain showers at the start, 17 riders took to the start line for the eight-lap race. Riders competed not only for their category honours but also for overall victory, with the staggered starts creating tactical racing throughout the event.
In a strong performance, Che'quan Richardson (Bicycle Works) claimed the overall win and Category B victory in a time of 1:16:46. Stephen Ryan (BRCC) finished second overall and second in Category B on the same time, while Darren Glasford (Winners Edge) rounded out the Category B podium in third.
