Conor White Wins the 2025 President’s Cup

The 2025 edition of the Bermuda Bicycle Association’s President’s Cup took place on Sunday, October 26. This event showcased determination, teamwork, and the spirit of Bermuda cycling. The island-wide road race started on Front Street and finished at Southlands Park. It followed a challenging route that tested riders’ endurance and tactical skill.

Route Adjustments and Community Support

This year’s course was slightly revised to avoid several areas affected by ongoing roadworks. Despite these changes, the event ran smoothly. Strong coordination between race officials, volunteers, and public agencies made this possible.

The BBA extends its gratitude to the Bermuda Police Service for expertly managing traffic. They ensured the safe passage of riders throughout the island. A special thank you goes to Lesley White, who recruited and led a capable team of marshals. They were stationed at key intersections to assist both motorists and cyclists at major right-hand turns.

Additional thanks go to the Ministry of Public Works and the Works and Engineering team in Flatts. They temporarily moved their equipment and cleared their work area to allow the race to pass safely. This gesture was greatly appreciated by the entire cycling community.

Race Highlights

The race began on Front Street by the No. 1 Car Park. It remained neutral through Flatts due to last-minute roadwork. The race officially restarted at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo. Once racing resumed, the riders wasted no time in testing their legs. The course stretched along North Shore, across the Causeway, through Southside, and along South Road before finishing at Southlands Park.

Timing was managed by Peter Dunne, with Charles Thresh serving as Chief Referee and Howard Williams as Moto Referee.
