The 2025 edition of the Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race featured 52 registered riders. They raced along Bermuda’s most iconic cycling route, from St. George’s to Hamilton. Thousands of spectators lined the street, cheering as the cyclists showcased their skills during the Bermuda Day parade.
The Weather and Race Conditions
Although conditions were slick, the skies mostly stayed dry. Only light sprinkles fell during the event. A short delay at the start ensured that Bermuda Police fully cleared the route. Safety was a priority across the 11-mile course. As a result, riders reached impressive speeds, exceeding 50 km/h. This fast-paced, high-energy race highlighted the strength of Bermuda’s cycling community.
Exciting Competition
There was fierce competition in every category. From youth riders to elite athletes, each competitor pushed themselves to perform at their best. Fortunately, only one minor incident occurred. One rider fell near the finish line but managed to remount quickly and complete the race.
