More than 100 riders lined up at Lagoon Park on Sunday for Race Two of the 2025/2026 ONE Communications Fat Tire Massive Mountain Bike Series. The fast, winding, 1.5-mile circuit—famous for its constant corners and minimal elevation—served up windy conditions that kept riders focused and tactical throughout the day.
Open 60 – Elite Men
Dylan Eisel powered to a commanding victory, leading from start to finish with consistent lap times that kept him clear of the hard-charging pack. Alexander Miller and Kavin Smith completed the podium after a fiercely contested battle through the middle laps.Notably, defending series contender Brian Steinhoff finished just off the podium in fourth, with strong performances across a deep 60-rider field.
Open 60 – Women
Jennifer Wilson claimed the win in the Open 60 Women’s category, delivering steady pacing across six laps. She was followed by Wendy-Ann Thomas in second and Skye Ferguson in third.
Junior Highlights – 9–12 Years
The 9–12 division saw an impressive field of young talent, with Austen Carr taking the top spot after six fast laps. D Elliot Simon and Aslan Haldeman followed closely, with several tightly contested battles unfolding throughout the group.The girls’ field was led by Esme Jansma, finishing with a strong time ahead of Holly Cook and Gabriella Lea.
13–16 Male & Female
In the 13–16 Male category, Ethan Smith rode to a strong victory over four laps, with Hannes Van der Merwe and Isaac Wooley rounding out the podium.For the 13–16 Females, Paige Noseworthy took the win ahead of Ruby Cook and Lauren Simons.
Adult Novice
Chris Jansma took top honours in the Men’s Novice category, with Sean Dickinson and Kevin Stokes in second and third.In the Women’s Novice field, Arlene Maguinness secured the win, followed by Philippa Mello and Katrina Carr.
