A long, windy and cold morning set the stage for the 2026 National Mountain Bike Championships—but far from dampening spirits, the conditions delivered a challenging and memorable day of racing across all categories. Riders embraced the elements, and spectators were treated to a strong display of endurance, skill, and determination on a well-prepared course.
A sincere thank you goes to the race organiser and director, along with the full team of officials and volunteers who made the event possible. Delivering an event of this calibre requires significant coordination, and the effort was evident throughout the day. Special recognition to the official timing team for ensuring accurate and detailed race results .
A particular mention must go to Mike Terceira, who dedicated many hours in advance of race day to help mark and prepare the course—an essential contribution to the success and safety of the event.
We also extend thanks to Holger for arranging once again for BUZZ to provide pastries and much-needed hot coffee. On a morning like this, it made a real difference for riders, officials, and spectators alike.
