The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published its 2026 list of Prohibited Substances and Methods.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published its 2026 Prohibited List, which outlines the substances and methods that are prohibited in sport. The updated List comes into effect on 1 January 2026.
All Bermuda Bicycle Association (BBA)Â athletes, coaches, and support personnel are encouraged to review the updated information to ensure they remain compliant with anti-doping rules.
The 2026 Prohibited List: What You Need to Know
The WADA Prohibited List is updated annually following a global consultation process with athletes, medical professionals, sport federations, and anti-doping organisations.
WADA released the 2026 Prohibited List on 24 September 2025, allowing athletes and their support teams time to:
Familiarise themselves with changes to the List
Review any prescription or over-the-counter medications they use
Check supplements carefully
Apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE), where required, through the appropriate organisation
Understanding the Prohibited List is a key part of an athlete’s responsibility and helps prevent unintentional anti-doping rule violations.
