Nic Narraway, right, and Kaden Hopkins warm down in Uruguay
Kaden Hopkins and Nic Narraway both finished inside the top ten in the elite men’s time-trial at the Pan American Road Championships on Thursday.
On a straight, flat course, not ideally suited to their strengths, Hopkins finished seventh in 49min 09.40sec, with his time just nine seconds slower than Brazilian Diego de Jesus Mendes.
Narraway, who would have preferred some stiff climbs on the course in Punto del Este, Uruguay, finished tenth in 49:46.76.
The two Bermudian riders will again be in action on Saturday when they contest the elite men’s road race while Charlotte Millington, who finished eleventh in the junior women’s time-trial on Wednesday, is in action in her road race on Friday.
