Caribbean Cycling Championships

Bermuda sits at the top of the all-time medal table at the Caribbean Cycling Championships—proof that a small island can set the regional standard. From the early road and time-trial pioneers to today’s elite podiums, Bermuda’s blue has been a fixture at the front across Elite, U23, Junior, and Juvenile categories.

What the CCC is

The Caribbean Cycling Championships bring together the region’s best for championship titles in the Individual Time Trial and Road Race. It’s where national programs measure depth and development—juniors step up, elites defend crowns, and the medal table tells the long story of consistency.

Signature champions:

  • Kris Hedges — multiple Elite TT golds; early-2000s standard-setter.

  • Lynn Patchett — Elite TT & RR golds (notably 2004); consistent podiums.

  • Deanna McMullen — multi-medal Elite campaigns in TT and RR.

  • Nicole Mitchell & Zoenique Williams — pillars of Elite road & TT medals.

  • Matthew Oliveira & Alyssa Rowse — Junior era leaders with multiple golds.

  • Conor White — Elite TT golds (incl. 2023 & 2024); U23 TT gold (2021).

The Bermuda storyline

The trailblazers (2001–2006)

The modern era opens with Kris Hedges powering to multiple Elite TT titles (2001, 2002, 2003, 2006) and podiums in the road race, setting a high bar for the program. On the women’s side, Lynn Patchett and Deanna McMullen establish a winning tradition—highlighted by Patchett’s golden double across TT and RR in 2004 and more medals through 2005–2006.

Building depth (2007–2014)

Bermuda’s podium presence widens. Garth Thomson collects TT bronzes; Nicole Mitchell and Zoenique Williams stack Elite road and TT medals; juniors begin to break through with results from riders like Tyler Smith, Hayley Evans, and Sophie Adams—the pipeline is clearly working.

The junior surge (2015–2019)

A golden wave arrives: Matthew Oliveira racks up Junior golds (TT & RR), Alyssa Rowse dominates Junior titles, Nicholas Narraway, Alexander Miller, and Liam Flannery add Juvenile/Junior hardware. In Elite, Caitlin Conyers stamps authority with a 2019 Elite TT gold, while Kaden Hopkins and Conor White join the medal conversation.

The golden run (2021 → present)

Bermuda’s elites and U23s turn consistency into statement wins.

  • 2021 — Caitlin Conyers takes Elite TT gold (and RR bronze); Conor White wins U23 TT gold with Nicholas Narraway silver.

  • 2022 — Kaden Hopkins strikes U23 TT gold; Conyers adds Elite TT silver and RR bronze; juniors Annabelle Miller and Charlotte Millington bring home titles.

  • 2023 — A defining day in the Elite TT: Conor White (Gold), Kaden Hopkins (Silver), Nicholas Narraway (Bronze)—Bermuda sweeps the podium. Narraway also claims U23 TT and U23 RR gold, with Liana Medeiros adding U23 medals.

  • 2024 — Conor White defends Bermuda’s Elite TT gold, Kaden Hopkins adds Elite TT silver, Nicholas Narraway takes U23 TT silver, and Gabriella Arnold earns Elite TT & RR silver.

  • 2025 — The next wave: Charlotte Millington (Junior TT gold, RR silver), Skye Ferguson (Junior TT bronze), Jacob Wright (Juvenile TT bronze).

Why it matters

Leading the all-time medal table at CCC isn’t an accident—it’s the result of year-round local racing, a pipeline that elevates juniors to U23 and Elite, and Bermudian riders who punch above their number. The CCC is where that work shows up, year after year.
