Bermuda is one of 56 nations and territories that make up the Commonwealth—a voluntary association connected through shared history, values, and sport. The Commonwealth Youth Games give young athletes their first taste of international competition in a multi-sport setting. For Bermuda, these Games have been a launchpad—where teenagers with raw talent have transformed into international medal contenders.​

Bahamas 2017
Spotlight: Oliveira’s gold and bronze medals in Nassau marked a historic moment for Bermuda cycling, inspiring a surge of young riders and setting him on a path to professional competition. Rowse’s double podium performance in the women’s events added to the celebration, showing Bermuda could compete across both men’s and women’s fields.
