Caribbean Games & Island Games

Caribbean Games (inaugural)
Launched in 2022, the Caribbean Games brought together the region’s best young athletes for a new multi-sport stage. For Bermuda cycling, it was a chance to test our next wave in championship conditions, fast courses, national jerseys, and the pressure of a continental debut.

Why it matters
The inaugural Games are a gateway event, where emerging Bermudian riders learn to race for a flag, not a trade team, and earn the results and ranking that feed into Commonwealth, Pan Am, and Worlds selections.

Island Games
The Island Games are a celebration of island sport, cycling included. From Shetland (2005) to Åland (2009), Isle of Wight (2011), Jersey (2015) and our home Games in Bermuda (2013), the red-bermuda jersey has been in the mix across road, time trial, criterium, MTB XCO, and team events.

Why it matters
The Island Games are where squads become teams: multiple disciplines, tight schedules, and tactical complexity. Bermuda’s medal runs across road, TT, crit, and MTB show a pathway that starts in local racing and extends to international team success.
