UCI World Championships

The UCI World Championships are cycling’s biggest stage for national teams—the place where riders swap trade jerseys for country colors and chase the iconic rainbow bands. For a small island, simply earning a Worlds start is a statement. Bermuda has done more than that: we’ve lined up across multiple disciplines and age categories, from Junior to U23 and Elite, on the sport’s toughest courses.

Why this matters

Representing Bermuda at the World Championships takes years of training, international racing and commitment. Entry requirements vary by discipline and age category, with riders selected by their national federation within the UCI’s rules.

Bermuda’s participation across Junior, U23 and Elite competition shows why a strong development pathway matters: giving young riders opportunities to gain experience, progress and compete at the highest level.

2026 – Montréal, Canada (Elite)

Kaden Hopkins – Men’s Elite Individual Time Trial: 40th; Men’s Elite Road Race: DNF
Nicholas Narraway – Men’s Elite Individual Time Trial: 46th; Men’s Elite Road Race: DNF

Spotlight: Hopkins put Bermuda’s pink jersey at the front of the race by joining the early 16-rider breakaway in the demanding 273.4km road race. Both Bermudians reached the Montréal finishing circuit before being withdrawn after falling behind the main field. Only 58 riders completed the race.

Their participation continued Bermuda’s progression from Junior and U23 competition to the Elite World Championships, with both riders representing the island in the time trial and road race.

2024 — Zurich, Switzerland (Elite & U23)
